E-mail: ira.kiryscha@yandex.ru Annotation The paper clarifies the meanings of the concepts "mentality" (mental) and "mindset" through the reconstruction of content meaning within the discourse of "intellectual history" and the movement of "annals". The author accentuates special attention on the "family likeness" of these concepts with the concepts related with the concept "world view": "world view idea", "world outlook", "mental instruments", "mental context of the epoch".
