Annotation
The author considers Russian political elitism and its perception in public consciousness. Public consciousness does not perceive people in power as the elite of Russian society. Moreover, the concept "elite" has acquired a negative connotation. The opinions of experts are gradually coming to coincide with public opinion: society needs an intelligentsia capable of creating true values and directly affecting the most important political decisions of the higher governmental authorities.
