Annotation
The paper presents an attempt to interpret the film "Andery Rublev" within the context of the spiritual tradition of Russian culture. The intention of the director is perceived through the deep emotional and aesthetic experience of the audience which, in its turn, reveals the dream of the great icon painter: to revive the human spirit through divine inspiration, the joy of creative work and love.
