Personal and professional meanings of an engine driver, studied by the use of special interviews, worked out by the authors, are considered in the article. The research showed that the most important sphere in the respondents' life is family, though their ambitions and self-actualization requirements are closely associated with their profession. In the majority of cases revealed meanings have an affiliative character connected with work and family, whereas spiritual needs are oriented to self-development and the problems of the country and its citizens.
