Gusev Stanislav Sergeyevich – Doctor of Philosophy, Professor of the Department of Philosophy at the Academical University of Physics and Technology, Russian Academy of Science, Saint Petersburg. Annotation This article considers some peculiarities of the crisis being experienced by modern scientific cognition. Some major factors determining changing in the world-view function of science are revealed. The author also develops hypothesis of forming a new type of relations between rational thinking and emotional experience of man related to his interactions with reality within the present-day cultural context.
