This article considers some peculiarities of the crisis being experienced by modern scientific cognition. Some major factors determining changing in the world-view function of science are revealed. The author also develops hypothesis of forming a new type of relations between rational thinking and emotional experience of man related to his interactions with reality within the present-day cultural context.
