The article reviews the evolution of onomatopoeic solo parts: from imitating the sounds of animals to verbally marking sounds in the Evenki language. The article briefly describes the peculiarities of semiotic perception of natural sounds in the Evenki traditional community. Key words: Evenk, epos, epic solo parts, folklore.
