Shulepova, Olga Borisovna
- Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor, Professor of the Chair «Philosophy» of the Amur State Unversity. She was born in Blagoveshchensk of the Amur Oblast. She graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology of the Blagoveshchensk Pedagogical Institute, and post-graduate course and doctoral candidacy of the Novosibirsk State University. The theme of her Candidate’s Dissertation was: «Methodological Concept of Disagreement in a Scientific Research» (1992), the theme of her Doctoral dissertation was «The Phenomenon of Disagreement in Scientific Cognition (philosophic-methodological analysis)» (2002). Academic interests are: philosophy of cognition and philosophy of science. She is the author of more than 50 research and research-methodological works.

THE PHENOMENA OF DISAGREEMENT WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF DEFINING THE EPISTEMOLOGICAL STATUS OF HUMANITARIAN COGNITION

Annotation
Contrastive analysis of the methodologies of Humanities and Natural Sciences is one of the aspects of solution of the fundamental problem of defining the epistemological status of humanitarian cognition. The peculiarities of disagreement, which function within these methodologies, constitute reflexive manifestation of subjective and personal commencements of cognition. The author tries to clarify whether the phenomenon of disagreement reveals the basic mechanisms of development of science as they are revealed in natural scientific cognition, which can serve as a confirmation of the epistemological status of humanitarian cognition.
