Annotation
Christianization of Britain caused changes in Anglo-Saxon values and ideals. The Anglo-Saxon heroic worldview was replaced by the Christian worldview with God as the central element. The present paper aims at reconstructing of the concept GOD in the Anglo-Saxon Christian worldview. The concept GOD turns out to have common conceptual features with the concept CYNING (KING), the chief of Anglo-Saxon war bands. | ||
