Galina R. Romanova. "THE CONCEPTS OF BEING, CONSCIOUSNESS, AND CREATIVITY IN THE AUTOBIO-GRAPHICAL BOOKS BY V.NABOKOV"

The article discusses the interrelation between discourse compositions of the writer (in particular, lectures on literature) and his authobiographical prose ("Memory, Speak"). The author argues that a multi-dimension character of Nabokov’s works genetically goes back to Gogol’s poetics, the concept of "the time of consciousness" - to Bergson, the conception of "reality" and creative memory - to Proust. Such principle of organization of Nabokov’s authobiographical prose as "the cosmic synchronization of being" is commented on by the author in his lectures on Joice, in the lecture "The Art of Literature and Common Sense".
